10 Essential Oval Space Selections By DJ Deep

This Saturday, we're joined by DJ’s DJ, and Deeply Rooted founder, DJ Deep. The Parisian has played for us three times before, setting Oval Space and The Pickle Factory on fire on each occasion. A protégé of Garnier and resident of Rex Club’s infamous Legends party series, DJ Deep is now widely regarded as Paris’ most influential and perennially on-point house and techno selector. Although Deep is proudly a DJ first and foremost, his production career reads like a who’s who of tasteful labels old and new: releasing on Deeply Rooted, Kaoz Theory, Rekids and Parlophone, working with frequent collaborator Roman Poncet, and remixing house royalty Kerri Chandler and St Germain. This Saturday, he takes to the decks alongside fellow Gallic techno icon Laurent Garnier. Here are 10 tracks he'll be dropping on the night.

Shan 'Good To Me' [Beats in Space]

I really have Laurent in mind when dropping this jam, and I can’t wait to play it for this special party at Oval!

Radioslave 'Another Club' [Rekids]

I can’t get enough of this record, this is the A side and I’ve been obsessed with it since the first time I heard Matt play it. It's coming out on 17th February.

Matrixxman 'SECTOR I: RHYTHM' [Dekmantel]

Loving the Matrixxman Raw beats, he found a way to capture the early Chicago raw vibe and translate it in his own way.

Vin Sol 'Iron Knowledge' [Rhythm Nation]

I’m also a big fan of Vin Sol’s work, this raw Chicago sounding EP is great!

Fjaak ‘Wolves' [Monkey Town]

I’m absolutely loving these guys and their work. This is a dope track from their latest album.

Mark Henning 'Expander Six' [Soma Records]

I love all 4 cuts on this EP. I really like how it fuses House and Techno and I think it will be the idea for my set at Oval Space.

Frankie Bones 'Bonesbreaks Vol. 16' [Musique Pour La Danse]

It’s so good to see the Bonesbreaks series back, I think it will be wild to play them at Oval Space!

Radioslave 'Feel The Same' [Rekids]

The flip side of Another Club. I really can’t choose which I prefer so I’ve got to play both sides!

Plez ‘Can't Stop' [Mind Condition]

It’s great to see this 12” reissued, it was previously featured on BBE’s City to City compilation. I always think of Laurent when playing it and I think it will resonate in a very unique way in my set at Oval Space!

DJ Deep 'La Grande Brasserie Deuxième Service’

I finished this one this week and I honestly can’t wait to test it out at Oval Space.
