Alyss '3EARTH' Launch Party

Event sold out.

On 24th April we will be celebrating the release of Alyss' latest record, out on Tropopause Records, '3EARTH' at The Pickle Factory. Support comes from label mates Yakul who have been making waves in the London jazz scene. We also have Nadia from Kiara Scuro spinning sounds from her eclectic record collection and we'll have Tropopause DJ and music connoisseur Sasha Marks supporting throughout the night. So come join us for an exciting evening of electronic music and jazz from some of the UK's tastiest performers.

Alyss: http://spoti.fi/2FELfjf

Goddess of her own kingdom, the UK based classically trained singer, songwriter and producer Alyss has been turning heads aplenty with her unique talents. A distinct sound, Alyss’ productions are infused with a tribal, almost spiritual quality as she writes and delivers powerful soulful vocals inspired by her keen study of metaphysical subjects.

These qualities are front and centre on brand new single “MisKayani” which is inspired by an ancient hidden city in Peruvian Q-ero Mythology. Inhabited by extremely evolved sacred women, ‘MisKayani’ is said to exist between the earth plane and the higher etheric realms.

Formerly under ATLAS Radio, the pair have hosted regular shows on Reprezent Radio and Worldwide FM, where they showcased their tastes for varying genres and sounds from across the globe, and invited guests like Gilles Peterson and Mehmet Aslan to join them. Their new regular slot on South London's Balamii Radio sees them playing the darker and weirder side of their collections, and has helped land them a residency at Peckham's newest music venue, Ghost Notes, alongside some fellow DJ Directory members.

Fresh from their sold-out London Jazz Café New Year’s Eve party with Barney Artist, Yakul are an exciting neo-soul 3-piece based in Brighton. Influenced by the likes of J-Dilla, D'angelo and the Soulquarians, they put a unique spin on the music they’ve grown up with. Marrying together thoughtful, soulful lyrics with deep grooves and jazz infused progressions, Yakul seamlessly blend genres to create something fresh and original.
